THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 845 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF NEBRASKA
      THE CITY OF NORTH PLATTE...NORTHEAST LINCOLN

AT 8 PM CDT A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED OVER THE WESTERN PART OF
NORTH PLATTE NEAR EISENHOWER SCHOOL BY THE NORTH PLATTE POLICE
DEPARTMENT.  RESIDENTS OF THE COMMUNITY SHOULD SEEK SHELTER
IMMEDIATELY.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE IS IN
A BASEMENT.  GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...FIND SHELTER IN AN INTERIOR ROOM
SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  USE BLANKETS...PILLOWS...
OR CUSHIONS TO COVER YOUR BODY.  AVOID WINDOWS.

THESE STORMS COULD PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN..STRONG WINDS AND HAIL
AS THEY MOVE NORTHEAST THROUGH LINCOLN COUNTY BETWEEN 6 PM AND
8PM CDT.
