000 TTAA00 KLBF 130030 TORLBF NEC111-130100- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 730 PM CDT THU SEP 12 1991 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA ...NORTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY AT 721 PM CDT A PUBLIC REPORT OF A POSSIBLE FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED 9 TO 10 MILES TO THE SOUTH OF LAKE MALONEY. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING THE POSSIBLE FUNNEL CLOUD WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. PERSONS IN THE LAKE MALONEY AREA AND THE CITY OF NORTH PLATTE SHOULD SEEK SAFE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER IN AN INTERIOR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. USE BLANKETS...PILLOWS... OR CUSHIONS TO COVER YOUR BODY. AVOID WINDOWS.
