IN SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA ...KEITH COUNTY AT 755 PM MDT...TRAINED SPOTTERS REPORTED A FUNNEL CLOUD LOCATED 6 MILES SOUTHWEST OF OGALLALA...WHICH IS 55 MILES WEST OF NORTH PLATTE. THE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING THE FUNNEL WAS MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH. PERSONS IN OGALLALA AND KEYSTONE SHOULD TAKE COVER NOW!! IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER IN AN INTERIOR ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. USE BLANKETS...PILLOWS... THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED FROM ASHBY TO 15 MILES NORTHEAST OF KEYSTONE...OR FROM 35 MILES WEST NORTHWEST TO 75 MILES NORTHWEST OF NORTH PLATTE. THE STRONGEST STORM WAS LOCATED 30 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF NORTH PLATTE IN SOUTHWESTERN MCPHERSON COUNTY. THE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.
