THUNDERSTORM NEAR LANETT ALABAMA.  THIS STORM IS MOVING NORTHEAST
AT NEAR 40 MPH...AND WILL BE MOVING INTO TROUP COUNTY AND THE

AT 518 PM EST COLUMBUS WEATHER RADAR WAS INDICATING A LARGE AREA
OF MOSTLY LIGHT RAIN WITH A FEW EMBEDDED THUNDERSHOWERS OCCURRING
ACROSS NORTHWEST GEORGIA INTO MOST OF EASTERN ALABAMA. THE STRONGEST
STORMS WERE IN GEORGIA ALONG THE LEADING EDGE FROM THOMASTON TO
AMERICUS. ALL THIS ACTIVITY WAS MOVING A LITTLE NORTH OF EAST AT
40 MILES AN HOUR.

PERSONS NEAR THESE STORMS CAN EXPECT WINDS TO 35 MILES AN HOUR..VERY
HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. PERSONS IN AND NEAR THE WATCH

SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL CONTINUED
OVER THE WESTERN THIRD OF GEORGIA AND EXTENDED INTO ALABAMA AND
TENNESSEE. THUNDERSTORMS WITH THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL WERE NEAR AND
JUST SOUTH OF ATLANTA. THIS AREA WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR
WIHILE CELL MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 50 MILES AN HOUR.

A FEW SHOWERS REMAINED OVER THE WESTERN CAROLINAS AND WERE MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR.
