000 TTAA00 KATL 012132 SVRATL GAC199-285-012215- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ATLANTA GA 427 PM EST FRI MAR 1 1991 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ATLANTA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA ...MERIWETHER COUNTY...TROUP COUNTY A STRONG THUNDERSTORM MOVED THROUGH WEST POINT AT 420 PM. THE WEST POINT POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTED STRONG WINDS ESTIMATED AT 50 MPH WITH THIS STORM. AT LEAST ONE TREE WAS BLOWN DOWN. THIS STORM IS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN #AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
