000 TTAA00 KATL 140500 SVRATL GAC111-140530- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ATLANTA GA 1158 PM EST WED FEB 13 1991 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ATLANTA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 AM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA ...NORTHERN FANNIN COUNTY AT 1155 PM EST WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ON THE GEORGIA/TENNESSEE BORDER ABOUT 10 MILES WEST OF MC CAYSVILLE. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT ABOUT 50 MPH. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL AND HIGH WINDS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
