TXZ034>036-231400- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN TX 640 AM CDT MON SEP 23 1991 ...THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINS OVER BURNET COUNTY... AT 635 AM...THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH HEAVY RAINS WERE FROM LAKE TRAVIS TO MARBLE FALLS NORTHWARD TO BERTRAM AND BURNET. THE HEAVY RAIN AREAS WERE FOUND JUST WEST OF LEANDER AND JUST NORTH OF BERTRAM. MOVEMENT OF THE RAIN WAS VERY SLOWLY TORWARD THE EAST...WHILE THE AREA WAS BUILDING TO THE SOUTHWEST. THIS RAIN AREA HAS BEEN OVER BURNET COUNTY FOR THE PAST TWO HOURS AND HEAVY RAINS HAS BEEN REPORTED OVER THE CITY OF BURNET BY THE SHERIFFS OFFICE AND KHLB RADIO STATION. PERSONS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED LOW WATER CROSSINGS. CAMPERS NEAR STREAMS AND RIVERS SHOULD MONITOR WATER LEVELS.
