AT 435 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM IN THE
NORTHWEST PART OF CLAYTON COUNTY IOWA...AROUND THE CITY OF
POSTVILLE...WHICH IS 45 MILES NORTHWEST OF DUBUQUE.

THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINS...FREQUENT
LIGHTNING...ALONG WITH PEA TO MARBLE SIZE HAIL AS IT MOVES
THROUGH THE NORTHWEST PART OF THE COUNTY.

MOVEMENT OF THE THUNDERSTORM WAS NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH UNTIL 1000 PM CDT...

AT 640 PM CDT STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING OVER NORTHERN CLAYTON
COUNTY.  THESE STORMS WERE PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN...SMALL HAIL...AND WIND
GUSTS OF 30 TO 35 MPH.  THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST NORTHEAST AT
30 MPH.

WITH THE LARGE AMOUNTS OF RAIN THAT HAVE FALLEN IN A SHORT PERIOD OF
TIME...SOME FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS MAY BE OCCURRING.  DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO CROSS A STREAM THAT IS FLOWING OVER A ROAD.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP TO THE WEST OF CLAYTON
COUNTY...THEREFORE THE THREAT FOR ADDITIONAL FLOODIN'G WILL CONTINUE
UNTIL THE STORMS PASS.
