THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED AN URBAN AND SMALL STREAM
FLOOD ADVISORY EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES

   IN THE EAST CENTRAL PART OF LOWER MICHIGAN
      TUSCOLA...

RECENT HEAVY RAINS HAVE LEFT STANDING WATERS AND SWOLLEN RIVERS AND
STREAMS IN TUSCOLA COUNTY...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE CASS RIVER.

THE TUSCOLA COUNTY OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES REPORTED THAT SOME
STREETS AND LOW AREAS OF POOR DRAINAGE WERE FLOODING IN VASSAR AND THAT
THE MOORE DRAIN IN VASSAR HAD RISEN TO THE POINT THAT PARKING LOTS WERE
FLOODING.  1.59 INCHES OF RAIN WAS REPORTED IN THE VASSAR AREA IN THE
LAST 24 HOURS...INCLUDING .28 INCHES THAT HAS FALLEN SINCE 7 AM.

THE PERIODS OF RAIN ACROSS THIS AREA WILL TAPER OFF TO LIGHT
SHOWERS THIS EVENING AND THE PONDING OF WATER WILL BEGIN TO
SUBSIDE.

IF YOU ARE IN TUSCOLA COUNTY...ESPECIALLY IN THE VASSAR AREA...
REMAIN ALERT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF LOCALIZED FLOODING AND BE
PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
