000 TTAA00 KTUL 100700 SVRTUL OKC021-100800- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 159 AM CDT TUE APR 10 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES ... IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA ...CHEROKEE COUNTY AT 1 55 AM THE TULSA WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST EAST OF TAHLEQUAH MOVING TO THE EAST AT 40 MPH. THIS STORM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE STRONG WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH AS IT MOVES ACROSS CHEROKEE COUNTY. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH... LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.
