000 TTAA00 KTUL 100301 SVRTUL OKC021-100400- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 1000 PM CDT MON APR 9 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES ... IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA ...CHEROKEE COUNTY AT 9 58 PM THE TULSA WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 8 MILES WEST OF HULBERT MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 MPH. THIS STORM WILL PASS NEAR TAHLEQUAH WITHIN THE NEXT HALF HOUR. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH... LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER... SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
