THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
      NORTHEAST JEWELL

AT 643 PM CST A TORNADO WAS ON THE GROUND NEAR WEBBER IN
NORTHEAST JEWELL COUNTY OR 30 MILES NORTHWEST OF CONCORDIA.
THE TORNADO WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR
AND WILL BE ON THE KANSAS NEBRASKA BORDER BY SUPERIOR NEBRASKA
BY 750 PM CST

PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD FIND SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
BASEMENTS OFFER THE BEST PROTECTION2.  SMALL ROOMS NEAR THE
CENTER OF HOMES AND BUILDINGS ON THE LOWEST FLOOR ARE ALSO FAIRLY
SAFE.  MOBILE HOMES AND VEHICLES OFFER NO SHELTER...SO LEAVE THEM.
EVEN A DITCH OR LOW PLACE IS SAFER THAN A MOBILE HOME OR CAR.
