THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      CHRISTIAN...WESTERN OZARK...WESTERN DOUGLAS...TANEY

AT 800 PM CDT A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM 20
MILES SOUTHWEST OF SPRINGFIELD TO 50 MILES SOUTH OF SPRINGFIELD
NEAR BRANSON. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 20 MILES
PER HOUR.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.  HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADWAYS QUICKLY...
AVOID DRIVING INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
