THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      CHRISTIAN...STONE

RADAR INDICATES SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS NOW ENTERING CHRISTIAN COUNTY
NEAR BILLINGS AND JUST SOUTH OF SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI. THESE STORMS
WILL MOVE INTO NORTHERN STONE DURING THE NEXT 10 MINUTES. 3/4 INCH
HAIL HAD BEEN REPORTED WITH THESE STORMS. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE SOUTH
 AT 40 MILES AN HOUR.

...LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS IS MOVING INTO EXTREME SOUTHWEST
MISSOURI...

RADAR AT 1205 AM INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO
SOUTHWEST MISSOUR AROUND THE JOPLIN AREA.  THE LINE EXTENDED FROM
25 MILES NORTHWEST OF JOPLIN MISSOURI JUST WEST OF PITTSBURG KANSAS
TO 35 MILES SOUTHWEST OF JOPLIN IN EXTREME NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA.

THE LEADING EDGE OF THE LINE WAS 10 MILES WEST OF JOPLIN AND MOVING
EAST 20 MILES AN HOUR.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE 40 TO 50 MILE AN HOUR WIND...HEAVY
RAIN...AND HAIL AS THEY MOVE ACROSS THE LAMAR...JOPLIN...AND NEOSHO
AR9EA BY 1230 AM.
