...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR THE NORTHERN HALF OF WEST VIRGINIA...

THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED OVER MAINLY CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA... AND
HAVE BEEN MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST.  SOME OF THE STORMS HAVE GROWN
LARGE ENOUGH TO PRODUCE PEA SIZE HAIL... AS PER A REPORT FROM CLAY
COUNTY.  HOWEVER... NO THUNDERSTORMS ARE REPORTED AS BEING SEVERE.

THIS HOT AND VERY MOIST AIR MASS IS PRIMED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF
THUNDERSTORMS AND WITH THE AID OF A LOW-LEVEL BOUNDARY STRETCHING
ACROSS THE STATE...THUNDERSTORM FORMATION AND INTENSIFICATION HAS A
GREAT POSSIBILITY.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT THROUGH 800 PM
THIS EVENING.  AT 325 PM... RADAR WAS SHOWING THUNDERSTORMS OVER
MAINLY CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA.  THE MOST ACTIVE STORMS APPEARED OVER
KANAWHA AND CLAY.  PORTIONS OF PUTNAM..BRAXTON..LEWIS..HARRISON..AND
..RANDOLPH AND POCAHONTAS COUNTIES WERE SHOWING LESS ACTIVE
THUNDERSTORMS AT PRESENT.. BUT STILL DEVELOPING. THEY MOVING TO THE
SOUTHEAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.
