000 TTAA00 KPIT 091655 FFWPIT PAC031-065-091900- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PITTSBURGH PA 1254 PM EDT MON JUL 9 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 PM EDT FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN WEST PENNSYLVANIA ...CLARION COUNTY...JEFFERSON COUNTY AT 1254 PM WEATHER RADAR SHOWED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS NEAR COOK FOREST STATE PARK TO JUST NORTH OF BROOKVILLE. THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINS THAT WILL PRODUCE FLOODING. NEVER DRIVE YOUR CAR INTO A FLOODED AREA. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DON'T USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
