THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI
 
   ...PEARL.RIVER COUNTY
 
AT 700 PM MOBILE RADAR INDICATED THAT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM HAD
DEVELOPED 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF POPLARVILLE MISSISSIPPI.
 
ALSO A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING INTO THE WESTERN PART
OF PEARL RIVER COUNTY.  THESE STORMS HAVE PRODUCED LARGE
HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS IN LOUSISANA AND MISSISSIPPI. A TORNADO
OCCURRED IN WOODVILLE MISSISSIPPI AT 425 PM.
 
MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR.
 
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.  HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO
DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
