MISSISSIPPI UNTIL 9 PM CDT...

...THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF NORTHEAST
MISSISSIPPI...

AT 520 PM CDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED THE SOUTHWESTWARD
DEVELOPMENT OF A BAND OF VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS FROM TEN MILES
NORTHEAST OF COLUMBUS IN LOWNDES COUNTY ON THROUGH SIX MILES SOUTH
OF STARKVILLE IN OKTIBBEHA COUNTY TO ACKERMAN IN CHOCTAW COUNTY.
THE STRONGEST ACTIVITY WAS SIX MILES SOUTHEAST OF COLUMBUS.

MOVEMENT OF THE STORMS WAS EAST NORTHEAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR.

WITH THE PASSAGE OF THE STORMS STRONG GUSTY WINDS...FREQUENT
LIGHTNING...VERY HEAVY RAINS AND POSSIBLE HAIL CAN BE EXPECTED.
