000 TTAA00 KMAF 010107 SVRMAF TXC475-010215- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIDLAND TX 806 PM CDT THU MAY 31 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 915 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS ...WARD COUNTY AT 805 PM CDT HAIL UP TO 1 INCH WAS BEING REPORTED AROUND MONAHANS. RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM EXTENDING FROM MONAHANS SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE PECOS RIVER. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. DON'T USE TELEPHONES OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
