000 TTAA00 KABQ 151012 FFWROW NMC005-015-151615- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ROSWELL NM ISSUED BY ALBUQUERQUE NM 409 AM MDT WED AUG 15 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1015 AM MDT FOR PEOPLE... IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO ...CHAVES COUNTY...EDDY COUNTY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE IS EXTENDING THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR CHAVES AND EDDY COUNTIES UNTIL 11 AM THIS MORNING. SATELLITE AND RADAR DATA CONTINUE TO SHOW STRONG...SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS MOVING TOWARDS THE SOUTHEAST SECTION OF NEW MEXICO. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED IN EXTREME WESTERN TEXAS AT 4 AM AND WERE MOVING SLOWLY NORTH-NORTHEAST TOWARDS THE ALREADY WET GROUND IN CHAVES AND EDDY COUNTIES. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
