000 TTAA00 KABQ 150654 RRA FFWROW NMC005-015-151000- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ROSWELL NM ISSUED BY ALBUQUERQUE NM 1252 AM MDT WED AUG 15 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 AM MDT FOR PEOPLE... IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO ...CHAVES COUNTY...EDDY COUNTY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE IS EXTENDING THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR ALL OF CHAVES AND EDDY COUNTIES UNTIL 4 AM THIS MORNING. IT HAS BEEN DROPPED FOR SOUTHEAST LINCOLN COUNTY. SATELLITE AND RADAR DATA AT 1 AM ARE INDICATING A LARGE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTHERN MEXICO WEST OF THE BIG BEND AREA... EXTENDING INTO THE WEST OF PECOS AND JUST REACHING INTO SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING A LITTLE EAST OF NORTH ...AND WILL MOVE OVER THE ALREADY WET GROUND IN CHAVES AND EDDY COUNTIES DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TVO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
