THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 945 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF NEBRASKA
      NORTHWEST CHERRY

AT 835 PM MDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS 19 MILES WEST OF MERRIMAN
NEBRASKA...77 MILES WEST OF VALENTINE JUST TO THE NORTH OF U.S.
HIGHWAY 20 ON THE SHERIDAN/CHERRY COUNTY LINE.  THE STORM WAS MOVING
EAST AT 15 MPH.  THIS WARNING DOES NOT INCLUDE TO THE TOWN OF
MERRIMAN.

PREPARE FOR LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WIND...HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING BY TAKING COVER.  STAY AWAY FROM AREAS WHERE LOOSE ITEMS
CAN BECOME DANGEROUS FLYING DEBRIS.

ONE INCH DIAMETER HAIL WAS REPORTED IN THE TOWN OF GORDON IN
SHERIDAN COUNTY WHEN THIS STORM PASSED OVER.

THE SEVERYE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT FOR
THE WARNED AREA.
