THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF NEBRASKA
      PLATTE...COLFAX

AT 755 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 20 MILES
NORTHWEST OF COLUMBUS...NEAR LINDSAY.  THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST
AT 25 MPH.

THE TOWNS OF CRESTON...LEIGH...CLARKSON AND HOWELLS ARE IN THE
PATH OF THIS STORM.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY
LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING
AREA.  SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN ALSO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING.

IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE...TAKE SHELTER IN A STRONG BUILDING.  REMAIN
INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.  TAKE SHELTER
IN AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.

 A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT.
 A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT THROUGH THE NIGHT.
