THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF NEBRASKA
      MADISON...STANTON...WAYNE

AT 712 PM CDT MADISON WAS HIT BY A TORNADO...AT LAST REPORT THE
TORNADO WAS 8 TO 9 MILES SOUTH OF NORFOLK AND MOVING TO THE
NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.  THE TOWNS OF NORFOLK...STANTON...HOSKINS AND
WINSIDE ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE IN
THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO TAKE SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF POSSIBLE.
OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  AVOID
WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES...TAKE COVER IN A REINFORCED
BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.

ACT QUICKLY.  TAKE SHELTER IN THE~ INNERMOST PORTION OF THE BUILDING
ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  GET TO A BASEMENT IF POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.
PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FLYING DEBRIS WITH CUSHIONS...BLANKETS OR
PILLOWS.

 A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT.
