SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING 
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE
916 PM MDT SAT SEP 1 1990

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1015 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF NEBRASKA
      NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST KEITH

AT 908 PM MDT RADAR DETECTED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 52 MILES WEST
OF NORTH PLATTE NEAR THE TOWN OF LEMOYNE NEBRASKA.  THIS
THUNDERSTORM HAD PRODUCED HAIL OF ONE HALF INCH IN DIAMETER JUST
AFTER 900 PM MDT.  THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 20
MPH.

IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA THREATENED BY THE STORM...GO TO A REINFORCED
SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR STRONG DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY
HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.

THIS WARNING INCLUDES LAKE MCCONAUGHY...AND BOATERS AND CAMPERS
SHOULD TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS.
