THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF KENTUCKY
      BREATHITT...PERRY

AT 400 PM THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN LESLIE COUNTY WAS MOVING INTO
NORTHERN PERRY AND SOUTHERN BREATHITT COUNTY...BETWEEN JACKSON AND
HAZARD. THIS THUNDERSTORM HAS PRODUCE LARG HAIL IN BELL AND LESLIE
COUNTIES AS WELL AS WIND DAMAGE. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT
35 MILES AN HOUR.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD PREPARE
FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH..LARGE HAIL..AND DEADLY
LIGHTNING. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER IMMEDIATELY..
PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING BUT STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.

 RESIDENTS OF HAZARD AND JAC`KSON SHOULD MOVE TO A SAFE SHELTER UNTIL
 AFTER THESE STORMS HAVE PASSED.
