...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY TONIGHT...

AT 630 PM...LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WAS FALLING OVER ALL OF SOUTHEAST
KENTUCKY. THE HEAVIEST RAIN WAS FALLING OVER BELL..HARLAN...KNOX...
CLAY AND LESLIE COUNTIES...FROM NEAR MIDDLESBORO TO 15 MILES SOUTHWEST
OF HAZARD. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE INTO SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY
THROUGH THE EVENING.

NO FLOODING WAS REPORTED ACROSS THE COALFIELDS AT 630 PM. HOWEVER...
THE RAIN IS FALLING ON SATURATED GROUND AND WILL RESULT IN RAPID RUN
OFF INTO ALREADY SWOLLEN CREEKS AND RIVERS...ESPECIALLY WHERE THE
HEAVIEST RAIN HAS BEEN FALLING.
