THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CONCORD HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  400 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL NEW HAMPSHIRE
          ...WESTERN BELKNAP...CARROL
IN NORTHWEST NEW HAMPSHIRE
          ...SOUTHERN GRAFTON
IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEW HAMPSHIRE

AT 1155 AM MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN CONTINUED TO FALL OVER MUCH OF THE
WATCH AREA. THE RAIN WILL LIKELY DIMINISH IN INTENSITY DURING THE
AFTERNOON BUT WITH ADDED RUNOFF MANY SMALL RIVERS AND STREAMS WILL
REMAIN ABOVE THEIR BANKS.
 
MANY ROADS IN THE WATCH AREA HAVE BEEN WASHED OUT BY THE PERSISTENT
HEAVY RAINS. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO REMAIN ALERT WHEN TRAVELLING THIS
AFTERNOON.
 
MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMKPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A
SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
