AT 635 PM CDT...INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS...SOME LIKELY PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...AND HAIL WERE INCREASING IN BOTH COVERAGE AND INTENSITY IN NORTHWEST AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND INTO SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA. MOST OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN A 40 TO 50 MILE WIDE BAND THAT EXTENDED FROM SOUTHWEST OF CHAMBERLIN SOUTH DAKOTA TO AINSWORTH NEBRASKA AND THEN TO 30 MILES NORTHWEST OF BROKEN BOW. AT 930 PM CDT...RADAR INDICATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS SCATTERED IN A 100 MILE WIDE AREA TO THE NORTHWEST OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES SOUTH OF NORTH PLATTE TO 20 MILES NORTH OF GRAND ISLAND...TO 10 MILES SOUTH OF COLUMBUS. THE STRONGEST STORMS IN THIS AREA WERE IN A 5 MILE WIDE LINE EXTENDING FROM 30 MILES NORTHWEST TO 30 MILES NORTH OF GRAND ISLAND. THE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR. DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...BRIEF HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL WILL ACCOMPANY THSES STORMS AS THEY MOVE SOUTHEAST.
