AT 1040 PM EDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
JUST NORTH OF ROME. THIS STORM IS SLOWLY DRIFTING SOUTH AND IS LIKELY
TO PRODUCE HAIL.
 
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES

AT 1020 PM EDT THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED SOUTH OF CANTON AND NORTH
OF ROSWELL ACROSS SOUTHERN CHEROKEE AND NORTHERN FULTON COUNTIES.
THESE STORMS WERE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL AND MAY CAUSE SOME
FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS...ROADS...AND LOW LYING AREAS.

ALSO THUNDERSTORMS WERE RUMBLING BETWEEN ROME AND CHATSWORTH
PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN...AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL AND STRONG GUSTY
WINDS.

THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SLOWLY AND ERRATICALLY. PEOPLE IN THE
AREAS MENTIONED SHOULD BE ESPECIALLY ALERT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF
LOCALIZED FLOODING. PEOPLE IN OTHER AREAS OF NORTH GEORGIA B+ETWEEN
ATLANTA AND THE NORTHERN BORDER SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR THE POSSIBILITY
THUNDERSTORMS AND HEAVY RAIN OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS.
