THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1115 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF WISCONSIN
      LA FAYETTE

AT 502PM CDT THE LA FAYETTE SHERIFFS OFFICE REPORTED AN INCREASE OF
3 FEET ON THE PECATONICA RIVER WITHIN THE PAST HOUR.  ALL SHOULD
GO TO HIGHER GROUND ALONG THE PECATONICA.  MOTORIST SHOULD NOT...
REPEAT NOT TRAVEL THOUGH THE AREA OF THIS RIVER.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

SOUTHCENTRAL IOWA INTO EAST-CENTRAL PORTIONS OF THE STATE.  AT 845 AM
CDT THE EASTERN EDGE OF THE RAIN EXTENDED FROM JUST WEST OF CEDAR RAPIDS
AND IOWA CITY SOUTH TO MT. PLEASANT IN HENRY COUNTY OF IOWA.

THE AREA WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH AND MAY BRING BRIEF
PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS AS IT MOVES THROUGH HENRY...
DES MOINES...LOUISA...MUSCATINE...AND CEDAR COUNTIES OF IOWA OVER THE
NEXT HOUR TO TWO HOURS.
