THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1200 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF WISCONSIN
      LA FAYETTE

AT 834PM CDT AN IOWA COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICER NEAR BLANCHARDVILLE
REPORTED THE PECATONICA RIVER NEAR ITS BANKS.  WITH HEAVY RAINS
ALONG THE WISCONSIN RIVER MOVING SOUTH AND THE PARTIALLY SATURATED
GROUND IN LA FAYETTE COUNTY...THE POTENTIAL FLOODING IN IOWA COUNTY
SHOULD FLOW DOWNSTREAM INTO THE PECATONICA RIVERS AREA IN
LA FAYETTE COUNTY.

SHOULD YOU HAVE TO CROSS THE PECATONICA RIVER BY ANY ROAD TONIGHT
..YOU MAY NEED TO DETOUR DUE TO POSSIBLE FLOODING.  IF YOU ARE IN
A FLOOD PRONE AREA OF THIS RIVER AND NOTICE RISING WATERS...SEEK
HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED IMMEDIATELY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOOD WATERS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
