THUNDERSTORM NEAR MONTEZUMA IN SOUTHERN POWESHIEK COUNTY OR 55
MILES EAST OF DES MOINES. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES
AN HOUR.

THE STRONGEST STORMS ARE LOCATED NEAR GRINNELL...50 MILES NORTHEAST OF DES MOINES...AND 20 TO 30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CEDAR RAPIDS...NEAR WILLIAMSBURG. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALLq AND ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SMALL HAIL AND STRONG WIND. THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.
