000 TTAA00 KBUF 280609 SVRBUF NYC003-280730- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BUFFALO NY 210 AM EDT TUE AUG 28 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK ALLEGANY AT 210 AM BUFFALO WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS RUNNING FROM NIAGARA AND ORLEANS COUNTIES SOUTH TO BETWEEN JAMESTOWN AND OLEAN NEW YORK. TREES AND POWER LINES HAVE BEEN REPORTED DOWN IN SOUTH DAYTON IN CATTARAUGUS COUNTY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR. BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUE NT LIGHTNING STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO CAUSE DRAINAGE FLOODING.
