IN NORTHWEST VERMONT ...CHITTENDEN COUNTY...FRANKLIN COUNTY A SKYWARN SPOTTER IN FAIRFAX REPORTS THAT ALMOST 4 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. NUMEROUS ROADS...INCLUDING GARNET ROAD...SHULMAN ROAD...SPRING STREET AND GOOSE POND ROAD IN FAIRFAX ARE REPORTED TO BE IMPASSABLE DUE TO THE HEAVY RAINFALL. A SPOTTER IN JERICHO REPORTS THAT THE BROWNS RIVER IS AT BANKFULL. ADDITIONAL RAINS ARE LIKELY BEFORE THE THUNDERSTORMS END OVERNIGHT. IF YOU ARE IN A FLOOOD PRONE AREA...BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A SAFE PLACE. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
