THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A URBAN AND SMALL 
STREAM FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 230 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN 
THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT
      FAIRFIELD

AT 1130 PM THE RIPPOWAM RIVER IN STRAMFORD WAS CAUSING FLOODING IN
STAMFORD AND SMALL RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE CAUSING FLOODING IN NORTH
STAMFORD..SPRINGEDALE AND NORWALK. LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT AND IS EXPECTED TO ADD  TO THE FLOODING.
PERSONS IN THE REMAINDER OF FAIRFIELD COUNTY LIVING IN OR NEAR
LOWLYING AREAS OF STREAMS AND RIVERS SHOULD BE ON THE ALERT FOR ANY
POSSIBLE FLOODING TONIGHT.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED IMMEDIATELY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
