NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BRIDGEPORT CT

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A URBAN AND SMALL 
STREAM FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1215 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN 
THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT
      FAIRFIELD

AT 830 PM  THE RIPPOWAM RIVER IN STAMFORD WAS CAUSING FLOODING IN
STAMFORD AND SMALL RIVERS AND STREAMS ARE CAUSING FLOODING IN
NORTH STAMFORD AND SPRINGEDALE.  LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN IS EXPECTED
TO CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT AND IS EXPECTED TO ADD TO THE
FLOODING.  PERSONS IN THE REMAINDER OF FAIRFIELD COUNTY LIVING IN
LOWLYING AREAS NEAR STREAMS AND RIVERS SHOULD BE ON THE ALERT FOR
ANY POSSIBLE FLOODING OVERNIGHT.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAF4ELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED IMMEDIATELY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
