1132 PM CDT SAT JUN 10 1989

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM CDT FOR HALE...
   FLOYD...MOTLEY...AND COTTLE COUNTIES...

AT 1130 PM CDT THERE WERE NO SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS ON THE SOUTH
PLAINS.

RADAR WAS INDICATING AN AREA OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE
SOUTHEAST PORTION OF THE PANHANDLE. A FEW OF THESE WERE SEVERE AND
CONTAINED VERY HEAVY RAIN. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST
AT 20 MPH AND MAY THREATEN THE NORTHEAST PORTION OF THE SOUTH PLAINS
WITHIN THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.
