THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 945 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF NEBRASKA
      HAYES...SOUTHWEST LINCOLN

AT 905 PMCDT RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO 10 MILES WEST
OF WELLFLEET.  SHERRIFF REPORTS TORNADO NEAR HAYES CENTER IN
HAYES COUNTY.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE IS IN
A BASEMENT.  GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.

AT 615 PM CDT A THUNDERSTORM HAS DEVELOPED ON THE HITCHCOCK AND DUNDY
COUNTY LINE ABOUT 60 MILES SOUTHWEST OF NORTH PLATTE OR 10 MILES
NORTHWEST OF STRATTON.  THIS THUNDERSTORM IS EXPECTED TO INTENSIFY AND
MOVE EAST POSSIBLY PRODUCING SMALL HAIL.

OTHER THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN BREAKING OUT OVER SOUTHWEST
NEBRASKA WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR WITH HAYS...FRONTIER AND RED WILLOW
COUNTIES TO EXPERIENCE THE EARLY ONSLAUGHT.  NO WATCHES OR WARNINGS
ARE CURRENTLY IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA BUT RESIDENTS SHOULD
