FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA
          ...JUNIATA
 
AT 745 PM EDT...JUNIATA COUNTY CONTROL REPORT FLOODING IS OCCURRING ON
MANY ROADWAYS WITH IN THE COUNTY. DURING THE PAST HOUR HEAVY RAINS
HAVE RESULTED IN THE SCHWEYER RUN CREEK TO APPROACH BANK FULL IN THE
MIFFLINTOWN AREA.
 
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR WAS OBSERVING SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN CONTINUING TO MOVE SLOWLY NORTHEAST
ACROSS THE COUNTY. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL RESULT IN WIDESPREAD
FLOODING AND ALSO CAUSE THE SCHWEYER RUN CREEK TO GO OVER ITS BANKS.
 
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
