THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  145 AM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTHWEST UTAH
          ...EASTERN BEAVER...EASTERN IRON
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM MDT SAT FOR PERSONS IN
EASTERN IRON AND EASTERN BEAVER COUNTIES. THE UTAH HIGHWAY PATROL
REPORTS THAT STREAMS IN THE AREA ARE RISING STEADILY AND ARE RISING
ABOVE THE LEVELS OF FLOODING THIS AFTERNOON. BRIDGES AND ROADWAYS ARE
THREATENED BY THE RISING WATER.
 
CONTINUING HEAVY RAINS IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS WILL MAINTAIN THE
THREAT OF FLASH FLOODING INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS SATURDAY.
PERSONS TRAVELING THROUGH THE WARNING AREA SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT
FOR RAPID RISES IN STREAM LEVEL WELL AFTER THE END OF ANY RAINS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT.  IT'S
IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR
CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS.  CAMPERS SHOULD
AVOID CAMPING ALONG STREAMS OR CREEKS DURING THREATENING RAINS.
