THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 415 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      JASPER

AT 335 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH
WEST OF JOPLIN MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 40 MILES PER HOUR.
THIS TORNADO WILL MOVE THROUGH THE CITY OF JOPLIN.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO...GO TO A BASEMENT SHELTER
IF AVAILABLE...OTHERWISE TO A CENTRAL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOM=ES FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING.
