THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  315 AM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO
          ...EDDY
 
THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE AREA HAS BEEN EXTENDED. THUNDERSTORMS
WITH HEAVY RAINS WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT PORTIONS OF THE COUNTY OVER
THE NEXT FEW HOURS. THE REGION HAS BEEN SATURATED WITH AN ESTIMATED
ONE TO THREE INCHES OF RAINFALL ALREADY. THEREFORE...ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL WOULD COMPOUND FLOODING PROBLEMS WHICH HAVE ALREADY OCCURRED.
PRELIMINARY REPORTS INDICATE SEVERAL ROADS CLOSED BY FLOODING WITH
WATER COVERING MANY LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHIiCLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
 
REMEMBER...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR ISIMMINENT.
