AT 525 PM CDT TULSA RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ABOUT
20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF OKMULGEE OKLAHOMA.  MOVEMENT WAS TO THE
NORTH NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH...
LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  FOR YOUR

THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORMING OVER NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA AHEAD OF A COLD
FRONT THAT IS CURRENTLY IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL SECTIONS OF THE STATE.

AT 2 PM THE TULSA WEATHER RADAR INDICATED AN INTENSE THUNDERSTORM 5 MILES
EAST OF CLAREMORE...NEAR THE ROGERS AND MAYES COUNTY LINE. THIS STORM
WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

PERSONS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM CAN EXPECT WINDS TO 50 MILES AN HOUR
...HEAVY RAINS...AND SMALL HAIL.  YOU SHOULD TAKE COVER IF THREATENING
WEATHER APPROACHES AND STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR THE LATEST

THE INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS THAT WERE OVER ROGERS AND MAYES COUNTIES
HAVE DECREASED IN INTENSITY IN THE PAST HALF HOUR. STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
REMAIN OVER MUCH OF NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA...AND ARE LIKELY FOR SEVERAL
MORE HOURS UNTIL A COLD FRONT CLEARS THE TULSA METRO AREA SOMETIME AFTER
7 PM.

REPORTS OF VERY HEAVY RAINS AND SMALL HAIL HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FROM THE
CLAREMORE POLICE DEPARTMENT...BUT SO FAR NO SEVERE WEATHER HAS BEEN
REPORTED. WITH THE HEAVY RAINS...SOME MINOR STREET FLOODING IS POSSIBLE
IN LOW LYING AREAS. MOTORISTS IN ROGERSN AND MAYES COUNTIES SHOULD BE
ALERT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF STANDING WATER AND USE CAUTION UNTIL THESE
THUNDERSTORMS PASS.
