THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORMING OVER NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT THAT IS CURRENTLY IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL SECTIONS OF THE STATE. AT 2 PM THE TULSA WEATHER RADAR INDICATED AN INTENSE THUNDERSTORM 5 MILES EAST OF CLAREMORE...NEAR THE ROGERS AND MAYES COUNTY LINE. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH. PERSONS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM CAN EXPECT WINDS TO 50 MILES AN HOUR ...HEAVY RAINS...AND SMALL HAIL. THE INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS THAT WERE OVER ROGERS AND MAYES COUNTIES HAVE DECREASED IN INTENSITY IN THE PAST HALF HOUR. STRONG THUNDERSTORMS REMAIN OVER MUCH OF NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA...AND ARE LIKELY FOR SEVERAL MORE HOURS UNTIL A COLD FRONT CLEARS THE TULSA METRO AREA SOMETIME AFTER 7 PM. REPORTS OF VERY HEAVY RAINS AND SMALL HAIL HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FROM THE CLAREMORE POLICE DEPARTMENT...BUT SO FAR NO SEVERE WEATHER HAS BEEN REPORTED.
