CHRISTIAN... TANEY... STONE... BARRY... MCDONALD AT 950PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM 15 MILES SOUTHEAST OF SPRINGFIELD TO JUST SOUTH OF JOPLIN. WIND GUSTS OF 65 MPH WERE REPORTED WITH THIS LINE OF STORMS AT JOPLIN ...WIND GUSTS OF 59 MPH WERE ALSO REPORTED AT MONETT. THIS LINE OF STORMS WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH ...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION GO TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO INt EFFECT.
