440 PM CDT WED MAY 27 1987

...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE NORTHWEST ONE-THIRD OF
                    OKLAHOMA FOR TODAY...

AT 434 PM... A LARGE AREA OF RAIN AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME
WITH HEAVY RAINFALL COVERED NORTH CENTRAL...CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL
OKLAHOMA.  THE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE NORTHEAST OF OKLAHOMA CITY
AND TO THE SOUTHWEST.  OTHER PATCHES OF RAIN HAD DEVLOPED TO THE
EAST BETWEEN TULSA AND MCALESTER.

SLIGHTLY OVER 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS OCCURRED IN THE OKLAHOMA CITY AREA
DURING THE PAST 4 HOURS.

THE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS DRIFTING TO THE EAST AT 5 MILES AN HOUR
WHILE THE INDIVIDUAL THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MILES
AN HOUR.

...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR MOST OF NORTHWESTERN...CENTRAL
AND NORTHERN OKLAHOMA FOR TONIGHT AND THURSDAY...

AT 635 PM...THE OKLAHOMA CITY RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF RAIN AND
THUNERSTORMS EAST OF A LINE FROM ELMER IN JACKSON COUNTY TO BUTLER IN
CUSTER COUNTY TO MANCHESTER IN GRANT COUNTY.  HEAVY RAIN COVERED A LARGE
AREA FROM OKLAHOMA CITY TO THE FORT SILL AREA.  OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WITH
HEAVY RAIN WERE LOCATED SOUTH OF TULSA.   IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO NOT STAYT IN AREAS
SFUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

THE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS DRIFTING TO THE EAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR
WHILE THE INDIVIDUAL THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES
AN HOUR.
