300 PM CDT SUN JUN 7 1987

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY
OF

CENTRAL MINNESOTA...SHERBURNE INCLUDING THE CITIES OF BIG LAKE AND  
ELK RIVER.                                              

AT 255 PM CDT A VERY ST RONG THUNDERSTORM WAS INPROGRESS AT ST. CLOUD
AND PRODUCED LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND WIND GUST TO 50 MPH.       

RADAR SHOWED THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 40 MILES AN
HOUR.

REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE STRONG DAMAGING WINDS..LARG/E
HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES. ALSO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN
AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE
WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF
SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
