THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 810 PM CDT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF
 
WEST CENTRAL KANSAS... SCOTT
 
AT 714 PM CDT A TORNADO WAS REPORTED ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTH AND 3 MILES
EAST OF SCOTT CITY KANSAS. THE TORNADO WAS NEARLY STATIONARY.
 
 
THIS TORNADO WAS ON THE GR2OUND AND CAUSING DAMAGE.  ALL PEOPLE NEAR
THIS DANGEROUS STORM SHOULD TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY.

AT 545 PM CDT MODERATE TO STRONG THUNDERSTORMS AND RAINSHOWERS WERE
OVER PARTS OF WEST CENTRAL AND NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE ABOUT 10 MILES WEST OF GOVE AND NEAR
STOCKTON KANSAS.  HEAVY RAINS HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN THE HAYS AREA
WITH POOLING OF WATER ALONG ROADWAYS.

THESE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTH AT 15 TO 20 MPH.

NO SEVERE WEATHER WAS INDICATED BY RADAR. IF THUNDERSTORMS DO INTENSIFY
ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS ARE WARNINGS WILL BE ISSUED.
