A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 AM CDT FOR JOHNSON ..WYANDOTTE AND LEAVENWORTH COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS. WINDS OF 50 MILES AN HOUR HAVE BEEN MEASURED IN SOUTHERN WYANDOTTE AND NORTHERN JOHNSON COUNTIES DURING THE PAST 30 MINUT ES. AT 930 AM A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS LOCATED FROM 20 MILES NORTH OF TOPEKA KANSAS TO DOWNTOWN KANSAS CITY TO NORTHEASTERN BATES COUNTY.. ABOUT 60 MILES SOUTHEAST OF KANSAS CITY. THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORM HAS DECREASED IN INTENSITY SINCE 900 AM CDT. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING THAT WAS IN EFFECT FOR JOHNSON.. WYANDOTTE AND LEAVENWORTH COUNTIES IN EASTERN KANSAS HAS BEEN TERMINATED. THE STORMS THAT PROMPTED THIS WARNING HAVE WEAKENED AND HAVE MOVED THROUGH THESE COUNTIES.
